The mic properties just switch to use the headset mic, unless you have something like the Astro A50 that has its own software and drivers or some Razer and SteelSeries products it doesn't show as anything different. If it isn't working then you have an issue. Have you tested the headset to see if the speakers and the mic work?? Well the speakers defiently work. It's just that damn mic that isnt working. There is nothing detected.
